The Tree House

This spectacular house was inspired in part by the Fogo Island Hotel in Newfoundland. Our team completed the full exterior of the home, including contrasting black and white soffits, fascia boards, Hardie panel siding, and vertical clear grain hemlock siding, crafted to imitate the appearance of shou sugi ban, an ancient Japanese exterior siding technique that preserves wood by charring it.

Chris is a highly skilled and professional builder. I was so impressed by his level of care about the project and meeting our needs. He is creative, thorough and pays attention to the small details. I was very appreciative of how clean he kept the workplace and how he endeavored to recycle everything possible.
